Introduction

Hello there.

I'm Jennifer. For English, I'm doing a project. My concept for this project?

Stories.

I'm planning to interview various people -- all age groups, all races -- to find out what their story is. It could be anything: a defining moment in their lives, what was exciting to them that day, whatever. Basically, they talk and I listen. I would like to record the voices of the people who tell their stories and then post them here; I want to give some sense of permanence to their story. In addition, everyone who participates will receive a transcribed copy of their story, typed by me, to keep. I want to give people something to pass down, because, let's face it, how well did you really know your great-grandparents? Your great-great grandparents?

If you're honest, probably not that well. All you know are the stories you hear from older relatives and maybe some pictures of them, if you're lucky. But what if you could read a story that was important to them, something they cared enough to sit down and retell to basically a total stranger?

With this project, I promise to be completely impartial to any story I hear. I will not publish anything without direct permission. All I ask of you?

Tell me your story.
